Well, yep it is true Alli is walking. She just loves it and is so proud of herself. she gets the biggest smile on her face when she is done. The other day I was working out and i looked over and found her standing up with nothing around her to help her stand up, I quickly went and sat down and told her to walk to me and she hasn't really slowed down since. It is easy for her to get too excited and loose her focus and faceplant, so we still need to watch that, but she is a walking fool, and we are so proud of her.

I know that Halloween has been over for a little while, and I am finally posting some pictures. Pretty lame really, but I guess better late than never. Alli is in the middle, (she is a frog not a dinosaur). Her cousins that are the same age are on both side of her. Lexi on the left is a muchin from the Wizard of Oz, and Evelyn on the right is Little Red Riding Hood. They were just so cute.

Alli lovedHalloween this year. We went trick or treating and loved it. Alli got some of the candy, but of course, her parents had to help her eat it.

We had free pick up leaves day for the city. WE thought we could get by with a couple 13 gallon garbage bags. Well, as you can see it took a little more than a couple. The grand total 28 bags, therefore 364 gallons of leaves. Our legs and backs were really sore the next day. It sure looks better around this place.

It is sure great to be home, we find entertainment in the wierdest things I guess. I don't think Alli really knew what to think about the new song.

It has sure been a crazy summer, and has been forever since we have updated the family blog, but here are a couple of pictures to let you know what we did this summer. We had the chance to take a last minute cruise. Brad in Karen invited us to go and well we just decided not to think much of finaces and go. We had a ton of fun and it was really hard to get the land legs back afterwards. It was also really hard to get use to cooking again (argh....) . It was just great though. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. We are now back in WA, and getting use to not living out of a suitecase and getting things done here. What a transition. Thanks mom and dad, brad and Karen for a great summer.

We had had our first pool party the other day. The girls loved it. The water was a little cold. Camille was a little aprehensive about going all the way in at first, and would just touch her bum on the water and stand up. Alli just did the cannon ball and went for it. After the rapid breathing and flapping of arms she got use to it and loved it. We didn't leave them in to long. After the discoloration of the lips we knew it was time to get out, but let me tell you the girls were not happy.

Ready, ready, ready, ready to run.

I decided to run for fun. I know that it sounds like an oxy-moron. Anyway, I just decided that I could do it. Anyway, in high school 3 miles didn't seem to long, but this race seemed like, well let me tell you, pretty much double. Anyway, my goal was to make it under 30 mins. My ending time was 24:57. So I kind of surprised myself. I was pretty sore for a couple of days, but it kind of set a spark for me. I think I may continue to run and train for some different races. I know running, who would have thunk.

I just learned to brush

I just love to brush my teeth. When I am done I love to pull the brush out and play with it and flip the spit everywhere. I know that is kind of gross, but I just love to have the water flip everywhere. When mommy catches what I am doing I am usually done brushing my teeth for the day.

Alli just loves the camera and is always coming up with new poses to just make me laugh. She even will blink her eyes to anticipate the flash. What a hoot every time we get pictures.

13 months old

Is this a good enough smile

The Hiawatha Trail

So I am a little slow getting these pictures out. I have been a little busy. But let me tell you this trail was so fun. The whole family went even grandma and grandpa. We went through tunnels and over trestles and just out on the open rode. I think the best part was when my flashlight taped to my bike (you had to have a light for going through the tunnels) shinned on the wall of the tunnel insted of down on the path. So that proved to be not the most effective way of going through the dark tunnels, but I guess I knew where the wall was so at least I wouldn't run into that. We were all really sore, but I think we will plan on going back soon.

I not such a big fans of bike helments

Creepy crawling

SHE DID IT!!!! It seemed like it happened overnight. She had been rocking back and forth a couple of days before, but she just decided that she was not content in one place and wanted to see the world. We are still working on speed, which will come of course. So daddy look at me.

Our little Artists

Little Alli likes to come and play with cousin Camille. We learned that not only do they enjoy eating together and spending play time together but they enjoy painting. We didn't know we had some little Michelangos in the family. (It definitely doesn't come from my side.) We kind of struggled to get clear pictures of their hands and feet, and afterwards we didn't always have the rag right there to wipe off the hands and feet, so needless to say paint happened to get on the little girls. We were pretty good on keeping it on the sheet, which really is amazing that it stayed in one spot, but the little girls sure had fun for the most part as long as we kept them distracted with food. They enjoyed their little swimming party afterwards and playing with the little duckies.
